Our Vision

Family Merchants Bank was created to serve the banking needs of the communities of Cedar Rapids, Marion, and Hiawatha, Iowa and surrounding areas.

The Bank was founded in 2005 by individuals and families who reside in the communities we want to primarily serve. They include small business owners and other business people who shared a common vision - create a Bank that was values driven, that would provide appropriate products and services to support the community's needs, economic growth, and well being, and a place where employees would be passionate about customer service, in addition to enjoying their job.

It's no accident that we have shareholders who work for small town Iowa community banks. We wanted their on-going advice that challenges us to serve our customers like they do, the old fashioned way, where every customer is important and deserves a high level of service.
