President's Message

I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, our family of employees and this great community bank we’re running. Family Merchants Bank was established in 2005 by a diverse group of local and regional community leaders, many of which I’m sure you know personally. Our philosophy from the very start was to offer a bank to the Cedar Rapids community that does things a little differently. Our unique focus on what is important to moms, dads and their families coupled with sophisticated commercial products for our business customers, allows us to be an obvious choice.

The extensive knowledge of our employees in different business, finance, banking, accounting and technological areas has allowed us to meld all of these fortes into one “Top Shelf” bank. I’m certain you will notice this from the products we offer and the level of service our staff members provide to each and every customer.

I personally have lived and worked in the Cedar Rapids Corridor for 11 years, and have been in the banking industry since my dad introduced me to his bank before I was old enough to walk. I’m so very proud of the accomplishments of this bank and this great staff over the past two years.
